This workshop is designed to help you better understand and deepen your practice of back bending. During the workshop Taylor will give a brief over view of the anatomical structure of the spine and the nervous system, teach various breathing exercises, move the class through a warm up before moving into back bending drills and postures.
Participants will gain individualized instruction and the opportunity to learn new drills and ways of deepening their practice. Expect to leave the workshop feeling invigorated, motivated and more in touch with your practice.
Class will be slightly heated to 95-100 degrees. No experience with back bending in necessary. Bring a pad and pen if you like to take notes.
About the instructor: Taylor began her Yoga Journey with meditation at the age of 15, she has taught swim/fitness for over 10 years and yoga for the past four. She currently holds a pre-med/Biology degree from Hartwick College and practices as a licensed massage therapist and wellness instructor at a juice cleanse/weight loss retreat in Roxbury, NY. Using an integrated approach from both academia and self study she believes back bending is a powerful tool for healing and awakening the body.
